Process of CEREC
Receiving a same-day restoration produced by our CEREC machine is a straightforward process. Rather than utilizing traditional impression putty, Drs. Lynn and Bruce Hjerpyn use a digital scan to obtain a precise depiction of patient’s unique dental situation. With these impressions, our Akron dentists are able to perform an accurate analysis. Additionally, compared with other methods, digital impressions provide a more comfortable and quicker experience for patients.
Based off these detailed models, our CEREC machine manufactures a restoration custom-designed to match your existing dentition. Fabricated from a single block of material, the results possess great strength and durability. To accommodate the individual dental needs of our patients, we have several types of materials available, including porcelain, E.Max, and zirconia.
Once crafted, Dr. Bruce places the prosthetic, making adjustments to ensure the restoration matches the color of surrounding teeth and fits comfortably.
